Life lessons from Mahabharata

Here are some of the most common and interesting lessons that Mahabharata teaches us.

1.      Kindness and generosity is not enough in life

This one of the bitterest truth that we observe and learn from Karna. Karna is personally a good person. He is the kindest and generous person in his time probably. Despite these good qualities he couldn’t keep up the good place in history that he deserved. It is probably because he actually needed some more traits. He should have looked for what is fair and what’s not. But he supported his loyalty to Duryodhana. It is important to learn that we need to know how evil the world around us is before we show our kindness and generosity.

2.      One Bad companion is enough to ruin life to ground

This is one of the best lessons that we can learn from Sakuni. No matter what was the reason behind this? He injected more negativity into the brains of Kauravas and lead to the greatest war ever and lead to the destruction of the entire Kaurava dynasty. Therefore it is important on our part to diagnose our surroundings to know if anyone is negative and hampers our growth in life.

3.      Loyal and unconditional supporters make our life successful

In the contrast to the previous postulate, we can also see characters like lord Sri Krishna and Karna who actually added lots of support and power to both sides by their unconditional loyalty. In the same way, a good and loyal supporter makes our life easier towards our success.

5.      One should learn household chores no matter what he (she) is doing.

Pandavas never expected that they would be sent to exile. Once they went to exile, the household chores that they knew actually helped them in sustaining that scenario. This shows that every one of us should learn household chores. They would definitely turn beneficial one day. Considering the present pandemic, only those people who knew household chores were able to stay back in their homes away from their town happily.

In life, certain things are ours and others that don’t belong to us. commonly, we don’t get what we really deserve. In these scenarios, we should fight for these things without fail. This shows our character to the world. The same was the case with Pandavas too. They knew that the kingdom was theirs and therefore they were ready for the battle all their life.

12. Never make women angry

It is perceived that women are the cause of all the biggest wars in history. This perception is probably not true. The anger of the women is the reason behind various wars. When a woman is given the honor and respect that she deserves, that family or the kingdom really flourished for decades, on the other hand where a woman is disgraced, the kingdoms have fallen. Therefore it is the duty of each and every man to honor and respect women until she is fair in every sense.
