Is Being Responsible Really A Curse? Episode 132, LIFE LESSONS AJ

In long run, People feel that they being ruptured by the responsibilities that they have in life. Are you one of them? If yes, then this episode is exclusively for you.

Hi friends and welcome to Life Lessons

We all get to have one or the other responsibilities in life. These responsibilities do not have the same impact on us all the time. It is because in the general sense, responsibilities, once we get, are generally stay for a long time. For example, any person is free in bachelor life, but when they get married and give birth to a child, the responsibility increases and this responsibility is something that has to be kept for years together.

In the course of these responsibilities in life, it is common that one may feel exhausted mentally. Some people may even think about leaving and running away from these responsibilities. But, these sorts of things should never happen with an individual. Because the lack of right perception towards and life and responsibilities are bringing these people to these sorts of situations. Now, the question is- what is the right perception? Let look into a chronicle to understand and answer the question more effectively.

The chronicle:

Two colleagues were living beside each other in a town, one was Hari and the other was Vijay. They both were almost the same in age and other factors. They both joined their company at the same time and got married at the same time. Their sons were also almost the same age. As I stated in the previous lines, both Hari and Vijay got responsibilities after they got sons. But there was something that differentiated them both. This was the attitude towards their responsibilities. Both of them were almost equally caring and responsible for their sons. But the attitudes of both were different.

Hari was always depressed due to the thought that he got into responsibilities. But Vijay on the contrary never thought about the burden from the responsibilities he has, rather he mitigated it unknowingly by enjoying himself regularly.

Hari always thought about what needs to be done in the coming days all the time and felt stressed, Vijay also does the same, but he manages to give time to himself and relax every day. This difference was quite small when observed, but the results were quite contrary when observed after years.

After a decade, Hari began to turn aged due to the stress on the other hand Vijay Managed to stay healthy and smart as before even after a decade not because he had no responsibilities, rather he always mitigated the stress.

Observations:

From the chronicle that I stated above, there are a couple of important observations:

1.       Vijay had the right perception of responsibilities. He always gave himself some time to mitigate his stress from the responsibilities if any.

2.       Vijay took time to live in the present without always striving to plan the future.

These two points are something that most of us must learn in life. by default, after one gets mature enough, he (she) is assigned with one or the other responsibilities. The right perception is important. On the other hand, we should never invest all our time only to think and plan about the future, It is because when we fulfill that, we again sit back to plan the future. Thus it is necessary to take some time at least to enjoy the present and the things we have in life.

Bottom line:

I hope the idea behind this episode is clearly depicted. IN nutshell, I want to say,

“We always work for a better tomorrow. But when tomorrow comes, instead of enjoying, we think of a better tomorrow. Let’s have a better today.”
